USA Holds On, Slovakia Falls Short
It may not have been pretty but the United States held on to beat France by a score of 3-2 today at the World Hockey Championships as they pick up their first win of the second round of the tournament.
Despite the win, Jack Johnson was ineffective today as recorded three shots on goal and had a penalty along the way.
As for host Slovakia, they fell short today losing 2-1 to Finland falling to 0-4 in the tournament. Michal Handzus failed to register a point in the loss as he finished today's game with a -1 rating.
None of three countries with Kings on their roster play tomorrow but they are all back to work on Monday as Canada plays Sweden, the US takes on Switzerland and Slovakia plays host to Denmark to wrap up the second round of the tournament.
